Student Web Developer
Pay: $13.00/hour
Work hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Hours per week: 10-20
Description
Come be a part of a service and project-oriented team providing cutting-edge library information technology to advance the teaching and research missions of 黑料论坛. The person in this position will provide web development and programming support for the library's websites, web projects, and applications including web projects out of the library's digital scholarship efforts. This role offers the opportunity to learn about and work on different aspects of web/app development including the planning, design, and development phases. This person may also handle additional Library IT tasks when asked.
Qualifications
Required:
- HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge
- Interest in design/UI principles
- Troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to learn new programming and technology concepts.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with or knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience with content management systems (ex: WordPress, Drupal)
- Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- PHP, Java, C#
- React.js, or other front-end JavaScript frameworks
- Dart or Swift
- SQL or MySQL
