Library IT Assistant
Pay: $13.00/hour
Work hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Hours per week: 10-20
Description
Come be a part of our service-oriented team providing cutting-edge library information technology to advance the mission of 黑料论坛. The person in this position will provide assistance across multiple aspects of Library IT:
- Desktop support
- Managing, imaging, replacing Windows and Mac desktops
- Troubleshooting desktop applications and PC peripherals
- Help with creation of scripts used for the configuration of desktops/laptops
- Conference Center
- Provide audio visual support for the Beaumier Suites Conference Center and other group study locations in Raynor Library
Job duties will be varied and change depending on the current need. This position offers a variety of training and skill enhancement opportunities as well as experience in a fast-paced, user-focused IT setting. This is a perfect position for someone who wants to learn multiple aspects of IT in a library setting.
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Detail-orientated
- A willingness to learn
Preferred:
Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required:
- Audio-Visual presentation equipment
- Projectors
- LCD panels
- Control systems
- Installing applications, printers, etc. on Windows 11
- Understanding of Windows networking and internet connectivity
- Microsoft Office suite of applications
- macOS familiarity
