International Virtual Externship Program

黑料论坛 School of Dentistry (MUSoD) + S茫o Leopoldo Mandic (SLM)

Beginning in Fall 2025, the School of Dentistry is excited to offer a new virtual externship opportunity 鈥� the first of its kind in 黑料论坛 history 鈥� in collaboration with , a top private dental school in Brazil.

Through this one-semester, volunteer-based program (no credits offered), students will meet virtually four times with their peers from the opposite country to discuss similarities and differences in dental education and training.

Program Outline

  • Objective: To explore and understand the differences in dental techniques
    and practices between American and Brazilian dental education, and the reasons behind those differences.
  • Length: 1 semester
  • Duration: 4 meetings
  • Participants: 20 total students (10 from each institution)
    • 6 third-year students, 4 fourth-year students
  • Total groups: 5
    • Group composition: 4 students per group + 1 instructor from each school

Clinical Assistant Professor & Director, Predoctoral Program in Prosthodontics & Biomaterials at MUSoD

Dr. Cindy Dodo received her D.D.S. (2010), Ph.D. (2016) and Post Doctorate in clinical dentistry with a focus on prosthodontics (2018) from University of Campinas. She received a specialist certificate in Implantology from SLM in 2018.

Dr. Altair Antoninha Del Bel Cury, SLM

Dr. Altair A. Del Bel Cury holds a degree in Dentistry from the State University of Campinas (1971), a master's degree in Dental Materials from the State University of Campinas (1988) and a Ph.D. in Dentistry (Oral Rehabilitation) from the University of S茫o Paulo (1992), with a post-doctorate from the University of Rochester.
