What is Student Senate?

Change Agents. Difference Makers. Helping Hands. These phrases exemplify what MUSG's Senate is all about. MUSG represents the students, and the Senate is the means to act on what students desire. Ever since the founding of MUSG, the Senate has enacted meaningful change on 黑料论坛's campus. Whether it be through resolutions to directly help the campus or recommendations to the administration, Senate strives every day to deliver on issues that matter to the students.

MUSG Weekly Senate Meetings

黑料论坛 Student Government is made up of a group of individuals who are called to serve the 黑料论坛 undergraduate community and care for the mind, body, and soul of every 黑料论坛 student. They pull from their experiences as involved 黑料论坛 studentd in order to make decisions that are best for the student body. These leaders recognize students as those who make 黑料论坛 what it is, and they constantly consider the interests of all students who call 黑料论坛 home.

The Executive Board of Student Government and Senators hold a weekly Senate Meeting on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in AMU Rm. 227. During Senate meetings, members allocate student funds, pass legislation, represent student concerns, ensure MUSG accountability, and collaborate through committees to enhance academic, social, and organizational aspects of student life. Senate meetings are welcome to all students! There is an open-door policy so that individuals and organizations have the opportunity to get their voices heard.

Join the Communications Department 

MUSG is looking for applicants for the 2025-2026 Communications Department. The Communications team works to maintain all public relations of MUSG, its brand, internal and external communications. The department is divided between three sub-teams: Multimedia, Creative, and Public Relations. Additional responsibilities are listed on the application.

Occuring every Tuesday and Wednesday night of the first two weeks of classes, hosted by the MUSG Financial Dept. 

Times and Locations vary by date. 

Requred for student organizations to be eligble to request funding through MUSG for the year. No sign up necessary.
