The Career Closet is a dedicated space within Iggy鈥檚 Market where students can access donated items such as suits, blazers, blouses, button-up shirts, polos, pants, sweaters, skirts, and dresses. We understand that building and maintaining a career wardrobe can be both time-consuming and costly. The Career Closet aims to ensure that everyone has access to suitable attire for jobs, internships, interviews, meetings, presentations, and networking events.

The Career Closet was started by Mayra Alaniz, a 黑料论坛 graduate student and first-generation college student who recognized that professional attire, needed for interviews, internships and job placements, was often not financially accessible. Her start-up, Wear Your Success, won a Brewed Ideas Challenge grant.
To create a more sustainable future for the Closet, the Career Center managed the program until they relocated to the Lemonis Center for Student Success in the Fall of 2024. In January 2025, The Backpack Program relocated to Holthusen Hall and combined with the Career Closet to create the new iteration of Iggy's Market.
We are immensely grateful for the the work put into the program by Alaniz, the Career Center and other supporters to keep this important program going.
Thank you to all who have supported the program through donations including:
