Honors Advising

As an Honors student, you have access to a built-in network of support and opportunity. One form this takes is advising. Sometimes Honors Advising is required. Other times, it’s an optional resource for you. But what can you expect from it?

Honors Advising is…

Individual: You are on your own path with unique strengths and challenges.

Holistic: Your well-being depends on all parts of you and your life, not just academic.

Collaborative: Your experiences and perspectives are necessary to fruitful conversations.

Ongoing: We are on your team throughout your entire college career (and often beyond!).

We can discuss…

...your past experiences, your current classes, your future plans, majors and minors, extra-curricular activities, roommates and housing, fellowships and scholarships, new and ongoing struggles, mental health, campus resources, your ideas and perspectives, and/or anything else you’d like!

Plan to bring…

...a general sense of your academic path, something to take notes with, an open mind, and a willingness to collaborate.
