Oct. 14, 2025
MILWAUKEE — ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ has partnered with United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County to host Project Homeless Connect, Thursday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alumni Memorial Union.
Project Homeless Connect reimagines the service fair in a unique way that brings community members, companies and nonprofits together under one roof to end homelessness. The five-hour event aligns with United Way’s key initiative goals: preventing homelessness and connecting people to stable housing, reducing barriers to employment, improving mental health and wellness, and bridging the technology divide.
Weyco Group sponsors Milwaukee Project Homeless Connect and will be on site to make sure every person leaves in a new pair of shoes. Also on site will be a barbershop, vital health check-ups including dental care and vision screenings, legal assistance, and a resource fair with 50 community partners.
Around 600 individuals are anticipated to access services at Milwaukee Project Homeless Connect, which will feature 80 service providers and 300 volunteers. Mayor Cavalier Johnson will open the event with welcoming remarks at 9:50 a.m. in the adjacent Weasler Auditorium.
