Milwaukee Chinese Community Center to recognize ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Chinese Community Center will recognize ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ for outstanding contributions in support of its mission at the organization’s annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. in the Saber Center for the Performing Arts at Franklin High School.
Acting Provost Kimo Ah Yun will accept the award on ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳’s behalf. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Chinese Consul General Liu Jun from Chicago will also be in attendance.
ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ has a long history of welcoming international students. The university currently has 251 Chinese undergraduate and graduate students, representing the largest international group on campus.
Over the past 20 years, the MCCC has given this award to organizations that have had the greatest impact on the local Chinese community. Past recipients include Rockwell Automation and MillerCoors.
As a part of its recognition, the MCCC will make a $5,000 donation to ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳.
