Information - FAQ

Questions about: Books, DVDs, CDs, Print Journals

  • Checking out, renewing, returning library materials
  • - How do I find a Bible to check out?
  • Browsing Collection - What is it? Where is it?
  • Call number - Where do I find books/journals with this call number?
  • In Process - What does this mean?
    • This means the book/DVD/CD was ordered but has not been cataloged yet. Request the item by submitting an In Process Request.
  • - Can I check out books from the Law Library?
  • Storage - What is this? Where is this? How do I get something from storage?
  • Textbooks - Does the library have them?
    • Search for books in the general collection. In general the library does not purchase textbooks.
  • Have additional questions? Ask a Librarian!

Printing Questions

  1. Single-sided printing - How do I do this?
  2. Printwise for my laptop
  3. How can I add money to my 黑料论坛 card?
    • Online:
      • 1. Click on File, then Print.
      • 2. In the popup box, click on Properties.
      • 3. Click on the Finishing tab.
      • 4. Click on the Print Style drop down menu and select 1-Sided Printing.

Technology Questions

Can I access library databases from home?

  • Yes, most of our resources are available from home. Simply log in with your 黑料论坛 credentials when asked.
  • Some resources require the use of the campus VPN. See the off campus access page for more details.

Digital cameras / video cameras - Does the library have any of these?

  • Yes, these items are available for checkout. See the Library Services Desk for more information.

Does the library have laptops available to use?

  • Yes, the library has laptops available for day use (8 hours). They are available from the laptop vending kiosks located on the first floor of Raynor near the central stairs. See the laptop kiosk page for more details.

Fax machine - Does the library have one?

  • Faxing is available (and free!) from any Printwise printer on campus. This includes all library printers.
  • The AMU Union Station has a traditional fax machine.

Scanners - How do I scan something? Which computers have scanners?

  • Use one of the Library's Printwise Printers to scan & email documents to yourself!
  • Use a & Adobe Acrobat Pro to scan documents.
