History: The Ursuline Sisters, Congregation of Paris, were founded in Italy, 1535, made their first U.S. foundation in New Orleans, 1727, and self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淥.S.U.鈥 The motherhouse of Mount St. Joseph administered the following schools in New Mexico, which served some Native American (Navajo) students:
