Julie Creamer, Nurs ’80, was elected to the ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ Board of Trustees in 2023.
She is president of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas. It includes 52 hospitals, more than 1,300 access points, a health plan, a research institute and an accountable care organization, plus Levanto—a company offering digitally-enabled health solutions—and 3 million customers connected through MyBSWHealth.
In her role, Creamer is advancing the system’s customer-centric transformation and legacy of operational excellence. She ensures Baylor Scott & White delivers care that exceeds customer expectations by listening to customers, addressing their pain points with innovative solutions, and aligning culture, performance and strategy to drive results. She is accountable for system operations, information technology and joint ventures, and is known for helping teams execute with focus and consistency.
Creamer joined Baylor Scott & White from Northwestern Medicine, where she served on the health system’s executive team for 25 years. Most recently, while providing oversight to two of the health system’s regions, she served as president of Northwestern Memorial Hospital—the health system’s anchor research hospital—and president of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. In prior roles, she led both clinical and strategic areas, serving as senior vice president and chief transformation executive, vice president of operations and quality, and chief nurse executive. She began her career 40 years ago as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit.
A nationally recognized leader, Creamer was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives, honoring her deep clinical expertise and measurable impact on patient care.
Creamer holds a master’s degree in nursing administration from the University of Illinois Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳.
