The on-campus offering of the program typically takes 21 months to complete.  The online offering of the program typically takes three years to complete, Resch Mental Health Initiative scholarship awardees are expected to the 12 credits a term, consistent with a 21-month completion timeline.

There are no course prerequisite requirements for the clinical mental health counseling program; however, we highly recommend that students obtain experience in a human service setting (e.g., fieldwork, volunteering or employment) to discern if the field is a good fit for their long-term professional goals.  

黑料论坛 admits students to the on-campus program in Milwaukee every fall term. Students can start the online program in the fall, spring, or summer terms. Resch Mental Health Scholarships are awarded annually in the fall. Students who begin the online program in the spring and summer terms may apply for the scholarship awarded in the fall.

accreditation provides recognition that a counseling program meets high quality standards. It signifies that the program meets established standards in terms of curriculum, faculty qualifications, and student support services. It also establishes a program鈥檚 commitment to ongoing assessment to maintain and improve quality. Many employers, licensing boards, and professional organizations recognize the value of CACREP accreditation. 

The Graduate School at 黑料论坛 allows up to 12 credits to transfer into the CMHC program. Transfer credits must academically match the courses offered at 黑料论坛. Applicants seeking to transfer courses need to submit each course syllabi for review to determine transfer eligibility. A grade of B+ or higher is required to qualify for transfer into the program.

Admission to the Graduate School is required for the clinical mental health counseling program. To be eligible for admission to the Graduate School, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor鈥檚 degree from a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent must be completed prior to starting graduate school.  
• A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
• Proof of English proficiency if the language of instruction for your bachelor鈥檚 degree was not English.  

Prospective students* must submit the following materials prior to the application deadline:

• A complete
• Transcripts 鈥� submit copies of all current and previous colleges/universities  
• Letters of recommendation: Three for on-campus applicants; two for online applicants.
• A statement of purpose  
• A resume/vita  
• GRE scores are optional   
• After all applications are reviewed, the highest-ranking applicants will be contacted for an interview with the faculty. This is required for admission.

*Applications to the program are welcomed from prospective international students.  Non-US citizens are not eligible for the RMHI scholarship.  For international applicants only: a TOEFL or other acceptable proof of English proficiency.

The Resch Mental Health Scholarship provides awardees three phases of benefits. First, as a Resch Scholar awardees receive tuition, fees and books, with practicum and internship placements at Emplify Health by Bellin. After earning the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health participants in good standing advance to become Resch Fellows completing the 3,000 supervised hours required for licensure with a paid fellowship. The final phase of the initiative entails incentives for awardees to practice as a licensed therapist at Emplify Health by Bellin in Northeast Wisconsin.    

As part of their participation, awardees are expected to maintain good academic standing throughout their enrollment in 黑料论坛鈥檚 Clinical Mental Health Counseling master鈥檚 program, including upholding ethical standards and professional conduct.  Among the other expectations, awardees need to complete all clinical training components exclusively at Emplify Health by Bellin and participate in mentorship and supervision with Emplify Health by Bellin鈥檚 licensed behavioral health professionals, commit to employment at Emplify Health by Bellin in Northeast Wisconsin/Upper Peninsula of Michigan throughout the duration of the program and following licensure, and participate in other program-/initiative-related activities, such as orientation, professional development events, and providing feedback for program improvement.
