Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily functions of Campus Recreation not limited to but including Intramural Sports, Marketing, Aquatics, Member Services, and Facility Operations.
- Inspect the facility and equipment daily for upkeep and needed repairs.
- Observe daily the building’s activity, such as volume, patterns and choice of equipment by the participants.
- Create digital and physical marketing materials for the purposes of marketing programs, information dissemination, and wayfinding.
- Update Campus Recreation webpages through CMS tools and Fusion integration.
- Maintain digital displays with up-to-date campus partner and facilities information.
- Coordinate with the Wellness + Recreation communications committee to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach students, campus affiliates, and internal staff including the posting of a monthly staff newsletter.

Derrick previously competed in multiple collegiate esports titles, securing two championships while he completed his undergraduate degree at Carroll University. His interests include music performance, tabletop board games, and pickleball. His favorite musician is Jacob Collier.
