I believe that entrepreneurship is about more than startups. Students may or may not form a company, but that doesn't mean that they can't learn how to think, overcome, problem solve, lead, brainstorm, hustle, tell stories, work in teams and create like an entrepreneur.
This belief is reflected both in the courses I teach and how I teach them. Providing students the experiential opportunities to develop and practice these skills is critical to a complete education. Innovators and entrepreneurs need to exist in all professions throughout the world and workforce - they will be the ones that solve the challenges that we face. At the end of the day, what the students learn is more than a ‘skill set’ or a ‘mind set’ but an entirely new philosophical approach to doing, well, anything.
Ultimately, entrepreneurs/innovators are creative problems solvers who are able to thrive during times of uncertainty, opposition and change.
