Assistant Professor of Practice - Finance

Dr. Gurin, CFA, brings over 15 years of expertise in finance across equity, fixed income, commodities, investment risk management, quantitative research, international finance, financial modeling, analytics, and performance measurement. He joined the faculty part-time in 2023 and transitioned to a full-time role in 2024. Dr. Gurin retired in 2023 after a 16-year tenure at Northwestern Mutual, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Investment Performance & Analytics in the Wealth & Investment Management division (2018–2023). His previous roles include Director of Quantitative Research & Analytics and Analyst for Convertible Bonds and Master Limited Partnerships.
