I joined Artisan Partners shortly after its founding in 1995 and served as an equity trader for 23 years. In that role, I served as the lead point person designing and implementing trading strategies for numerous portfolio managers, including the US Value Team, which was named the Morningstar Managers of the Year in 2013.
Based upon my industry knowledge, I strive to bring my expertise in the capital markets, asset allocation, portfolio management, and asset valuation to the next generation. I enjoy bridging academic concepts with practical application to foster a deeper understanding of global capital markets and develop the professional skills which will allow my students to succeed in the ever changing investment world. My ultimate goal is to invest in my students the knowledge to successfully navigate their own financial futures to lead to happier and more productive lives regardless of their career paths.

Serving as an equity trader for nearly 25 years, I have a deep passion in all aspects of the financial markets. The dynamic nature of the financial markets and the ever changing news flow allows for continuous analysis and integration of all aspects of commerce and the study of business which is then reflected in a security valuation. As the AIM Director of the CFA Concentration, I have the opportunity to convey my knowledge of portfolio construction and equity stock valuation via the CFA curriculum to assist students manage 3 separate portfolios of securities for the ºÚÁÏÂÛ̳ endowment. Applied experiences such as the management of these portfolios allows students to see the actualization of their efforts and experience both the risks and the rewards of investing in a very realistic fashion.
