She earned her Ph.D. in Information and Operations Management from Texas A&M University. She also holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Industrial Engineering and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. This interdisciplinary background equips her with a unique ability to tackle complex operational issues from both technical and managerial perspectives.
Dr. Zhang is deeply passionate about teaching and committed to student success, which was recognized by the Dean鈥檚 Outstanding Teaching by a Doctoral Student Award in 2022 from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her research centers on sustainable operations management, with a particular focus on remanufacturing and remanufactured products within the closed-loop supply chain (CLSC). Her work integrates insights from operations management, marketing, and information systems to develop practical solutions that address the evolving challenges faced by industry. She has published her research in the IISE Transactions, Journal of Applied Physics, and MSEC conference proceedings. She actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for Production and Operations Management (POM) and the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) Annual Conference.
