I am a former banker of 37 years with my last position as Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Operations Officer of First Midwest Bank (now Old National Bank) in Illinois. I am a licensed CPA in Illinois, a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant. I have authored two textbooks on Fundamentals of Commercial Banking and Financial Modeling Foundations.

I have extensive experience in productivity, project and general management and information systems technology. I have authored several publications in these areas, including: Bank Productivity (1990), Earnings Enhancement Handbook for Financial Institutions (1991), Managing Bank Conversions (1996), and Bank Systems Management (1998), Branch Administration Management Service and Controlling Operating Costs, Managing in the Age of Information (1998), and Increasing Profitability and Growth: A blueprint for thriving in the financial crisis (2012).
Presently, I am most interested in advancing education for students and bankers, focusing on gaps in knowledge that exist today. I am also interested in simulations that can be used to educate students and bankers, and developing effective financial models useful for both teaching and application in the professional world.
