Instructor of Practice, Management

Before becoming an instructor at 黑料论坛, I enjoyed a thirty-year career outside of academia that spanned multiple business functions and industries. My most recent position was as the President and CFO of Giordano鈥檚, the Chicago-based operator and franchisor of Giordano鈥檚 restaurants. Over a ten-year period, I led multiple functional teams, including finance, information technology, commissary operations, restaurant distribution, and eCommerce departments. I also held several senior financial positions over a nine-year span at Yum! Brands, Inc., an international operator and franchisor of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut restaurants. My last position there was as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Strategy of Yum! Brands' international division. Other industry experiences include five years of financial roles at Nissan Motor Corporation and five years in marketing and sales at IBM.

My passion for teaching revolves around preparing students for success in their professional careers and personal lives. In my class, I introduce students to the foundational concepts of business, leveraging my professional experiences to provide insights that I believe will complement their other studies while at 黑料论坛. I like to provide real-life examples and stories, from my own experiences and others, to make content real. I try to distil practical advice that will aid students in their professional careers and personal development. My primary goal is to prepare students for successful careers and lives.
